About Jacquie Gevelinger
I have spent my career helping families through the moments that matter most, and that are often the most difficult: the death of a parent, the incapacity of a spouse, the end of a long marriage, the discovery that someone entrusted with a family's money has abused that trust.
My practice concentrates on probate, trust administration, and conservatorships, alongside estate planning, trust and estate litigation, and family law. Much of what I do is guiding people through processes that don't have to be adversarial – settling an estate, administering a trust, planning ahead for a family – and stepping in as an advocate when a matter does become a dispute. What ties it together is a focus on the crossover matters most firms aren't set up to handle: later-in-life divorce, blended-family trusts, and dissolution that overlaps with an estate already in administration. These situations require someone comfortable in both probate court and family court, and familiar with how the two bodies of law affect each other.
I practice in Sacramento, Placer, and Yolo counties, and I work with a small enough caseload that clients deal directly with me, not a rotating cast of associates.
